Medium Rare Premiere – The Digital Age – 23 November

Everywhere we look, the media landscape is changing. How we consume it and the nature of what we consume are vastly different to even one decade ago, let alone three or four.

Time spent reading the morning newspaper or keeping your ear glued to the radio (once upon a time, the wireless) has made way for seeking online news content via an i-phone or logging into your twitter account for breaking stories.

However, as rapid as the evolution in technology has been, there remains one constant; that high quality journalism still can’t be guaranteed. Not only is the capacity to consume content enhanced, but the opportunity to produce  content is available to as many people as ever.

So, in this age of digital content, how are media companies’ business models affected? Our expert panelists discuss the future for these media entities, how they will need to adapt and what this means for the consumer.

Coming to Channel 31 – 23rd November @ 7pm.
